The critically acclaimed television series, on CBC Television in Canada, the Discovery Channel in the United States and TV2 in New Zealand, gives people the opportunity to complete a 72-hours life changing challenge...a chance to face their fears, take a leap of faith, break a few rules and swerve off the road they've been following for years.
Challengers were carefully chosen through a massive media campaign soliciting the nation's most daring, who applied to be on the show through the NOW website. They were given physically and mentally demanding challenges, and of course we choose people who are prepared to risk it all.
We cleared their schedules by talking to their bosses, arranged for baby sitters and even found cat minders. They had some help with necessary resources but the rest was left up to them.
Once the Challengers had been surprised by Phil Keoghan, they set off on their 72 hour adventure.
Using the NOW philosophy our Challengers had to rely on tenacity, hard work and imagination to succeed and complete their challenge. Plans were altered and compromises had to be made. Ultimately the power of NOW prevailed as each person found their own special way to complete their challenge.
