Globe-trotting adventure TV host Phil Keoghan's motivating energy began after a near-death experience while scuba diving in an underwater shipwreck in his native New Zealand. He was 19. After the shock Phil reflected on where he was at and on how precious life is. He sucked in the oxygen and the next day went back to the wreck and repeated his nearly fatal dive. He also began to write a list of all the things he wanted to achieve before he died. As he worked through the initial list of 100 Things To Do, other lists evolved, which he did too. This has led to a life filled with adventure and few regrets.
Phil is a man determined to live each day as if it were his last. Breaking a world record for bungee jumping, cooking a 5 star dinner at the edge of an erupting volcano, diving the world's longest underwater cave and renewing his wedding vows underwater while hand-feeding sharks - these are just some of the adventures Phil has shared with television audiences all over the world.
Over the years his list expanded from challenging himself to focusing on how to help others attain their goals. His experiences led him to develop a modus operandi that would become No Opportunity Wasted. Through speaking engagements, worldwide television programs, the Rodale Press book and talk show appearances, Phil gives people the impetus to grab opportunity by the collar and just do it. NOW is a philosophy and way of approaching everyday life. What would you do today without excuses, routine, habit, laziness or fear to hold you back?
